The Lotus 49 poster honours Colin Chapman's 1967 revolution: the first Formula 1 car to use the engine as a stressed chassis member, courtesy of the new Ford-Cosworth DFV. Sleek, light and brutally fast, the 49 redefined what a Grand Prix car could be and set the template for the next decade.

Jim Clark put it on pole and won on its debut at the 1967 Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort, with Graham Hill alongside. The Lotus-Ford partnership would go on to win the 1968 World Championship and the DFV would power F1 victors well into the 1980s.
